Yoko Ono And The Flaming Lips Play Letterman
"Stop the violence! Stop all wars!"
Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band joined The Flaming Lips last night for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. Performing Ono's anti-war blitzkrieg, Cheshire Cat Cry (taken from this year's Take Me To The Land Of Hell) it's a clip that features Wayne Coyne channelling the classic Ono/Lennon Bag motif (wailing megaphone included), Steve Drozd playing a two-neck Gibson (with only one neck) and a somewhat perplexed David Letterman signing off with "that was very nice... it’s fun when you leave the theatre humming the music from the show.”
This new collaboration follows their work on last year's The Flaming Lips And Heady Fwends compilation as well as 2011's Christmas single, Atlas Eets Christmas.
In other news, Ono has just hit the top of Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart for the 11th time with a new remix of Walking On Ice.
