Signed David Bowie Sheet Music Goes Under The Hammer
An autographed page of Blue Jean is up for grabs as part of the "Rumble In The Jumble" charity sale.
SHEET MUSIC SIGNED by David Bowie is being auctioned for charity as part of an all-star jumble sale.
Bids for the autographed section of the music for Blue Jean from 1984 album Tonight, can be lodged online now with proceeds raised from the sale going towards Oxfam’s gender equality campaigns in Myanmar.
The sale has been organised as part of music charity The Music Circle’s annual Rumble In The Jumble, a souped-up boot sale held at London’s Oval Space each year, with items donated by the likes of Foals, Hot Chip, Florence + The Machine and more up for sale at the 2016 event which takes place on Saturday, May 14.
“The signed Bowie sheet music was a real surprise among this year’s donations,” the organisation told MOJO. “Obviously since his death there have been a few related memorabilia auctions so we were humbled that the owner opted to let us sell it for charity.”
“It’s one of many very special celebrity donations we’ve received for this year’s sale,” they continued. “Others items that will be up for grabs at the jumble sale itself include a pair Versace sunglasses from Elton John, loads of clothing from Annie Lennox who has had a big clear out and some unique items from the likes of Mark Ronson and Primal Scream and more.”
