MOJO ’60s, the deluxe magazine dedicated to the music of that most innovative of decades, is back for its fifth volume. MOJO '60s, Vol 5. On sale in the UK from April 5, 2016.

On sale in the UK from Tuesday (April 5), this groovy package embraces the life and work of two of music’s most heroic figures, including a 20-page investigation into David Bowie’s Mod beginnings and a celebration of Sir George Martin’s central role in the creation of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band masterpiece.

There are also detailed examinations of The Who's early rise from pub covers band to pop art phenomenon, the world that inspired Howlin' Wolf's electric blues and the story of Head, the psychedelic cinematic experiment that freed the The Monkees' minds.

Other highlights in Volume 5 include Terry O'Neill’s iconic early images of The Rolling Stones, the MC5’s war with New York’s crazies, The Band at home in Woodstock and the life and times of Etta James. There’s also a raft of new interviews, including Donovan, Lynval Golding, Ronnie Spector and Richard Hawley – with the latter picking his favourite records from the decade.

Plus! MOJO ’60s also boasts an imagery overload. Not only are there pull-out art prints presenting Steve Marriott and David Bowie in their full mod pomp, but the regular Pin Ups section turns its gaze to the '60s most out there icons, including Sly Stone, Sun Ra, Frank Zappa, Dr John and more.
