Notebooks out, plagiarists! This past week’s office listening has inevitably been dominated by The Fall, to such a degree that it’s hard to recall exactly what we’ve listened to. Please enjoy, though, an hour of John Peel introducing The Fall, hundreds and hundreds of times, on his radio show; always different, always the same, you could say.
Focusing mostly on new stuff, there’s plenty to be getting on with here (very much hope we can find leaked tracks from Alva Noto and Wet Tuna, especially, to play you as soon as possible). A reminder, too, of The Weather Station’s lovely 2017 album: Tamara and her band are currently on tour with the equally fine Red River Dialect. On the form of Tuesday night’s show in London, it’s a package well worth catching.
