Been a while since we posted an office listening list, but here are the newish selections of what we’ve played this past week or two. Some personal highlights: the longform psych of Tuluum Shimmering, a UK artist I’ve never come across before, in spite of there being 50+ albums in his catalogue; a new track from the excellent forthcoming Stephen Malkmus album; crate-digging jazz from Japan, and a new set from Chicagoan bass clarinetist Jason Stein; and Joan Shelley’s lovely new EP of covers, headed up by her take on Nick Drake’s Time Has Told Me that you should have found on the MOJO CD a couple of months back.
