Good time hooligan rockers come back stomping with fat tube amps, handclaps and “heys!"

MOJO LAST DUG Rome’s yob rockers Giuda for their spirited first LP Racey Roller in 2010. Now they're back with Let’s Do It Again’s hod-load of spirit-of-’74 Junk Shop Glam, and here is its lead single Wild Tiger Woman. Sounding like some particle collision of The Sweet, Slade and Mud, the video depicts singer Ntendarere working as a fast food chef while his bandmates variously labour in similarly thankless, blue collar drudgery, else they're thumping each other in the boxing ring or doing some possibly unlicensed bill posting. Then, on the loose in denim and boots in one of Rome’s less salubrious neighbourhoods, they seek - what else – to impress the unseen, mysterious Wild Tiger Woman of the title, complete with some sharp claw moves and terpsichorean homage to Mud’s tiger feet dance (Les Gray would be proud).

Spurning, refreshingly, intellectual sophistry or pretending to be, like, deep, Giuda still justify what Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott – a big Mott and Jobriath fan, remember – said about Racey Roller. “I was pissing my pants laughing, because it’s so brilliant, so exhilarating and fun.” Growl!
