Bob Dylan’s Another Self Portrait: First Track Emerges

THE 10TH VOLUME of Bob Dylan’s Bootleg Series is set for release on August 27 and the first full track from the album is now available to listen to online. Rolling Stone have premiered a video (directed by Jennifer Lebeau) that accompanies Dylan’s beautiful interpretation of 18th Century folk song Pretty Saro – a track originally recorded during the sessions for Self Portrait in 1970.
Imbued with the bucolic warmth and lonesome intimacy that would manifest itself so magnificently on New Morning, this is another surefire indication that Another Self Portrait will serve up a treasure trove of Dylan artifacts from a historically disparaged period of transitional Bob magic. The Bootleg Series, Vol. 10 - Another Self Portrait (1969-1971) will contain 35 tracks originally recorded for Nashville Skyline, Self Portrait and New Morning, alongside a live recording of Dylan and The Band at the Isle Of Wight in 1969 – a performance that attracted some of Dylan’s fab friends.
The deluxe 4-CD edition will contain a remastered version of Self Portrait plus these three discs of goodies:
