IT’S THE DEFINITIVE document of Beatlemania, an album culled from live recordings from their 1964 and 1965 LA gigs which features the group gamely charging through their world-changing ditties amidst a maelstrom of high-pitched human feedback: the screams of unhinged Beatlemaniacs. First released in May 1977 in the teeth of punk rock, The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl is one of few Beatle products never to have been reissued, until now. The Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl CD cover. The screams are still very much a feature of a brand new new version, repackaged to coincide with the release of Ron Howard’s Eight Days A Week documentary movie, although in Sam Okell and Giles Martin’s ‘de-mix’, sourced from the original three track tapes of the concerts, there’s more focus on the band, with the playing and singing coming through more strongly.

The reissue, retitled The Beatles: Live At The Hollywood Bowl, also features previously unreleased versions of You Can’t Do That, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby and Baby’s In Black. Full tracklisting follows…
