In this month’s issue – on sale in the UK from Tuesday, May 24 – an exclusive, myth-busting memoir by Blonde On Blonde’s organist and MD Al Kooper delivers the nitty-gritty of album’s February 1966 creation in Nashville, while historian and Bob-o-phile Sean Wilentz takes apart the aborted New York sessions and Greil Marcus revels in the wonders of One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later).

Plus! Sylvie Simmons profiles Blonde On Blonde super-producer Bob Johnston; Bob Mehr tracks down Charlie McCoy and Wayne Moss, two of the Nashville session musicians who authored the album’s unique sound and feel; and much, much more.

This month’s free CD is Blonde On Blonde Revisited, a specially commissioned start-to-finish cover of Dylan’s 1966 landmark, with interpretations by handpicked contemporary stars including Phosphorescent, Ryley Walker and more.
