In something of a coup for Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, the organisers have announced that Stevie Wonder will play his classic 1976 album, Songs In The Key Of Life in its entirety in London’s famous royal park on Sunday, July 10, 2016. The masterpiece that sealed Wonder’s astonishing five-album run 1972-’76, Songs In The Key Of Life was the double-vinyl epic that became only the third LP ever to debut at US Number 1 and encompassed timeless tracks including Sir Duke, Pastime Paradise and Isn’t She Lovely.

Songs In The Key of Life is the best album ever made.”

Elton John

According to no less an authority as Elton John, “Songs In The Key of Life is the best album ever made and I'm always left in awe after I listen to it. When people in decades and centuries to come talk about the history of music, they will talk about Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder."

Wonder has been touring the show – which also includes a crowd-pleasing portion of hits – in the US for 18 months. The album enjoys its 40th birthday this year.
