WITH THE 45TH year of The Velvet Underground’s Loaded set to be marked this Friday (October 30) with a new expanded version of the album, MOJO is premiering a previously unreleased track from the package. The cover of MOJO 265, on sale in the UK from October 27.

The alternative mix of Sweet Jane – classed as Early Version, Remix – which you can hear below, is taken from the new Loaded: Re-Loaded expanded version of the album, which features outtakes, demos and live versions made around the creation of the troubled record, the story of which is told in the new issue of MOJO (December 15 / #265), on sale now in the UK.

David Fricke reconstructs the fractious Loaded sessions by delving into over 20 years of interviews he’s conducted with the band and their associates, plus brand new material from late-Velvets singer-bassist Doug Yule.
