Keith Richards Releasing First Solo Album In 20 Years
Norah Jones and the late Bobby Keys feature on Crosseyed Heart, due out in September.
IT’S TAKEN JUST over 20 years, but Keith Richard is stepping out from the shadow of The Rolling Stones and releasing another solo album. Crosseyed Heart will be released on September 18, with a single from the record, Trouble, set to emerge later this month (July 17).
“I had a ball making this new record and working with Steve Jordan and [guitarist] Waddy Wachtel again,” explains Richards of the new album. “There's nothing like walking into a studio and having absolutely no idea what you're going to come out with on the other end.”

Richards co-wrote the majority of the tracks on the record, many with Jordon, while he duets with Norah Jones on Illusion, a song she helped to write.
Saxophonist and long-time Stones collaborator Bobby Keys, contributed to two songs, Amnesia and Blues In The Morning, before his death last year.
Crosseyed Heart follows Richards’ 1992 solo effort Main Offender and his solo debut Talk Is Cheap, which was released in 1988.
