Watch Supergrass’s Gaz Coombes Singing In The Back Of A Cab
MOJO has the premiere of The Girl Who Fell To Earth from the Oxford indie don’s recent Black Cab Session.
HE ONCE SANG about sitting “up straight on the back of the bus” with Supergrass, now Gaz Coombes has embraced the noble taxi for his latest musical outing. Recording during last weekend’s (June 7) Field Day Festival, the Oxford singer-songwriter performed his The Girl Who Fell To Earth in the back of a Hackney Carriage for a Black Cab Session – and MOJO has the exclusive premiere below.
The gender-twisting, Bowie-inspired track is the centrepiece of Coombes’ recent, five star acclaimed, second solo album Matador, recalling both the finest moments with his sideburn-adorned former band while also looking, quirkily, to the future. Watch the performance now.
