Pulp Introduce Documentary With Live Hometown Q&A

TOMORROW EVENING AT 6.00pm Pulp screen their documentary biography, PULP: A Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets at Sheffield’s City Hall. The film will be followed by a live onstage Q&A with band members Jarvis Cocker, Nick Banks, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey and Mark Webber, which will be simultaneously broadcast in selected cinemas nationwide. The film by quirky award-winning director Florian Habicht (Love Story) weaves together live footage from a cathartic 2012 show at Sheffield Arena, with interview material and dream-like tableaux featuring, ahem, “common people” from the streets of Sheffield, some questioned about the significance and particularity of the group and some having a go at the defining ditties of Britpop’s crimplene dandies.
