Led Zeppelin Remasters: Preview Live In Paris, 1969
The first wave of Zep reissues will feature rare "companion audio". Check out a preview here.
AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED, on June 2, Led Zeppelin will release deluxe remastered editions of their first three albums. These new versions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III will feature unheard studio and live recordings taken from the Zep archive. All will be included on a second disc of companion audio.
“The material on the companion discs presents a portal to the time of the recording of Led Zeppelin,” says Jimmy Page. “It is a selection of work in progress with rough mixes, backing tracks, alternate versions, and new material recorded at the time”.
Led Zeppelin will include a previously unreleased nine-song live set recorded on October 10, 1969 at the Olympia Theatre in Paris (see the preview video below), while Led Zeppelin II’s bonus goodies feature five alternate song mixes, the backing tracks to Thank You and Living Loving Maid (She’s Just A Woman) and the previously unreleased track La La. Led Zeppelin III’s companion audio is made up of seven studio outtakes alongside Jennings Farm Blues and Bathroom Sound (both previously unreleased) and their conflation of blues standards Keys To The Highway and Trouble In Mind.
