Morrissey's Autobiography Pulled From Publication
"A last-minute content disagreement" puts a stop to September 16th release.
According to the Morrissey-endorsed site true-to-you.net, his eagerly awaited autobiography has been pulled from publication. A statement posted on the site reads: "Although Morrissey's Autobiography was set to be available throughout the UK on September 16th, a last-minute content disagreement between Penguin Books and Morrissey has caused the venture to collapse. No review copies were printed, and Morrissey is now in search of a new publisher."
In February, Morrissey told The Hollywood Reporter, "If the book doesn't come out soon, I'll burn it", later adding: "I've never felt fully present in my own life. I've always felt like a ghost drifting through. I'm not actually flesh. So autobiography is a therapeutic act of self-loyalty, even if, like me, you end up with chapters of self-disgust rather than reams of narcissism."
