20 Best Albums Of 2015 So Far
The finest releases of January, February and March. Chosen to blow your mind by the MOJO team.
IT SEEMS ONLY a blink of the eye ago that we were rounding up our albums of last year, but as March draws to a close it’s time to take stock of the first fruits of 2015. The MOJO team and writers have been polled, and below we present their favourite new albums from the first quarter. There are old friends – Bob Dylan "uncovering" the standards, Supergrass sideburn king Gaz Coombes returning with a five star solo album and the second instalment of Noel Gallagher’s solo career – but there are a few new faces on the list too, notably the sweet, heartbroken tones of Tobias Jesso Jr., French-Cuban duo Ibeyi and the joyous, frenetic energy of Nick Zinner-produced Malians Songhoy Blues.
Do note that the list is in alphabetical order, not ranked by fantastic-ness (just yet). But please do contact us on Facebook or via Twitter (@MOJOmagazine) about anything we’ve missed out that you feel would enrich the listening lives of fellow MOJO readers.
