LAST WEEK, WE compiled a playlist of 20 incendiary post-punk tracks that included 7-inchs from Public Image Ltd, The Cure, Gang Of Four, Wire and many more.

Now, it’s time to dig a little deeper into this most fertile period of British music with a further 20 tracks from 1978 - 1980 that may have just missed our original cut, but still retain that trailblazing sense of invention and independence.
